Fluorite Mineralization Related to Carbonatitic Magmatism in the Western Transbaikalia: Insights from Fluid Inclusions and Trace Element Composition

Fluorite mineralization associated with different types of magmatism is common in the Western Transbaikalia. This study deals Arshan, Yuzhnoe, and Ulan-Ude fluorite occurrences, which are most significant examples carbonatite-related region. The present paper focused on new geochemistry fluid inclusion data, aimed at revealing conditions formation, highlighting its genetic relationship magmatism, compared to other deposits this type. All three locations belong Late Mesozoic Central Asian carbonatite province. Fluorites here characterized by high rare earth elements (REE), Sr, elevated La/Yb values. Fluid inclusions data imply that formation a long process extending from late magmatic hydrothermal stage. Early crystallized sulfate-carbonate orthomagmatic fluids temperatures up 500 °C. True was formed same were probably mixed meteoric waters, caused temperature drop below 420 °C led an increase chloride component. REE compositions studied similar REE-rich fluorites around world.
